What is Eye Guardian + Turmeric?

Eye Guardian + Turmeric is based on the AREDS 2 formula recommended bythe National Eye Institute to reduce macular degeneration as we get older.  The formula consists of exactly 500 mg ofVitamin C, 400 IU of Vitamin E, 80 mg of Zinc, 2 mg of Copper, 10 mg of lutienand 2 mg of zeaxanthin.  The studyconsisted of 4203 participants over 82 clinical sites with persons ages 50 to85.  The results show 18 percentreduction of risk of age-related macular degeneration compared to the originalAREDS study, and 25 percent reduction compared to those who do not take lutienand zeaxanthin in their daily diet. Additionally, 1000 mg (2 tablets/serving) of turmeric is added as apowerful antioxidant that complements the whole formula due to its variousantioxidant effects for many parts of the body, and especially the eye.
